In 1994, we started the Lazy-Fair Ranch Company in West Cajon Valley, California. Initially, we were a boarding and training facility. In 1999, after our purchase of a yearling jack named "West Coast of Oklahoma" (a.k.a. "Coaster") from Garrett Jackstock, we began breeding mules and donkeys. After extensive riding and driving training, Coaster won many high point awards at shows in Del Mar, Anza and Pomona, California. He won High Point Performance Donkey in The American Mule Association and placed in the top ten overall in 2003. Since 2004, he has sired several mules and donkeys.

In 2006, we moved Lazy-Fair Ranch to Weippe, Idaho, in the beautiful North Central part of the state. Coaster continues his breeding program, and we also have a breeding pair of AKC registered Yellow Labrador Retrievers, Lillie and Rocky. LFR has sold several mules and donkeys in this area, in addition to Yellow Lab puppies.
